Firmly placed in the Australian indie and rock scene, Nick Rowse is one of the busiest engineer/producers at Forbes St. He has recently recorded instrumental beds for You Am I, vocals for Mansionair, Elton John and Ricki-Lee, plus mixed tracks for Pinkiscool and The Million. In the months just gone, he has also spent a number of days in the studio with Keith Urban, engineering various projects including his features for Taylor Swift.
Nick is also proficient in recording and mixing artists for social media usage, having engineered for Lime Cordiale, DZ Deathrays, Niall Horan, Alessia Cara, Sean Paul and Kelly Rowland.
Working in recording studios for over 10 years, Nick initially built his skills in audio post-production and digitisation / tape transfers, before going onto work with us since our early days. He continues to use his post production skills for podcasting and interviewing recording, having worked with regular clients including Nine / Future Women, The State Library of NSW, Apple Music 1 and AdNews.
In the studio, Nick loves getting into a room with a band and capturing their live performances, refining production and taking it through to final mix. He has played drums and guitar in bands and now dabbles in songwriting using guitar and fx.
