Nick Rowse

Since joining the Forbes Street Studios’ production team nearly ten years ago as one of the hardest working folks behind-the-glass, Nick Rowse became Studio Manager in late 2023.

Bestowed with a vast array of knowledge and experience across a many projects and mediums; Nick is appreciative to have engineered for musical greatness including the likes of Elton John, Keith Urban, Kelly Rowland, You Am I, One Direction’s Niall Horan, Alessia Cara, Sean Paul, and many more widely popular Australian and international music acts.

His work with Elton John features on Lady Gaga’s Sine from Above. His work with Keith Urban features on multiple Taylor Swift songs.

Nick’s proficiency in the field of audio has landed him content work for Channel Nine, Apple Music 1, The State Library of NSW, Lime Cordiale, DZ Deathrays, AdNews, Aussie music legend Paul Kelly, former Prime Ministers of Australia Tony Abbott and Julia Gillard, and hundreds more notable individuals.

As a Universal Music approved Dolby Atmos / Spatial Audio mix engineer, Nick has provided Dolby Atmos mixes for George VILLA, Ratbag, Matthew Ifield, Drax Project, OWC, and Gin Wigmore.

Initial undertakings in the industry gained Nick credits in audio post-production, tape transfer digitisation, and orchestral movie scoring. He has played drums and guitar in bands, and loves being in the studio with skilled performers and ensembles to capture live performances, refine production arrangements and see projects through to final mix and release.

From recording to mixing, Dolby Atmos to podcasts, and skills in studio tech & graphic design; Nick’s strengths lie with his eyes, ears, hands & mind.
