Dan Frizza

Dan Frizza is a producer and engineer with a plethora of experience in all of Sydney’s major studios. In recent years he has engineered for Troye Sivan, Delta Goodrem, Montaigne, A$AP Ferg, Amy Shark, Flyying Colours, Bernard Fanning and Peter Garrett, as well as produced albums for Zeahorse, GRWS, Hunter Adams, MamajaeCharlie Gradon, Lucy Lowe, Salvador Dali Llama and Turtleskull.

Before joining Forbes Street, Dan worked alongside grammy-winning producer Nick DiDia, where he engineered records for Ash Grunwald and The Waifs. As well as being a wizard on the knobs, Dan also plays guitar in shoegaze/trip-hop band Fern and synths in Psychedelic Retro band Turtleskull.

Now an integral part of the Forbes St. team, Dan has skills ranging from the classic engineer/producer role, to co-writing, arranging and performing on recordings. And with a love of all equipment, new or old, Dan is ready to manifest your recording into the finest quality you can conjure up together.

Chris Hamer-Smith

Chris Hamer-Smith aka Chasm has over a decade of experience in the music industry as a producer, recording artist, youth mentor and DJ. He has produced two Aria nominated albums with his group Astronomy Class and has produced, remixed and recorded a plethora of acts from Thundamentals to 360, Hilltop Hoods, DJ Nino Brown, Marvin Priest, Starley, The Bamboos, Elizabeth Rose and Ash Grunwald.

Under his dance music alias, Dr Don Don, Chris also received international critical acclaim with his brand of chopped up funky/soulful house, garnering support from big names in the industry such as Atrak and Fatboy Slim. Chris has also collaborated with international acts well renowned in their genres – Gwen McCrae, Gappy Ranks, Fashawn, AG, David Dallas, Blak Twang and Guilty Simpson.

The past four years has seen Chris focussing his attention on youth mentoring, working as a music studio facilitator at The Information & Cultural Exchange in Sydney and through the Australian Museum’s Pacific youth reconnection project.

Chris is currently taking recording and production bookings out of his new home at Forbes Street Studios.
