Laura Parker is one of the newest Forbes Street Studios recruits, with a keen interest in producing Indie, Jazz and East Coast Surf Rock bands, as well as mixing Hip Hop.
Her latest work includes engineering of Monica Trapaga and The Pocket Trio’s debut EP. Tracks from the EP featured on Fine Music Sydney’s Jazz Hour as part of the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival.
Laura has also worked with Cooks and Bakers and Mystic Kito. She has engineered demos for each band, and assistant engineered the latter’s 100k+ streamed ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’. In the Hip-Hop scene, Laura has mixed and mastered tracks for rising Sydney local artists Inferno, MVTHALVND and Riddo.
Before recently graduating the Australian Institute of Music on a scholarship, Laura grew up playing flute in big bands for 15 years. She also has 10 years experience playing contemporary classical piano and dabbles in guitar, bass, clarinet and…. button accordion 🙂
